inspiration / books for fall

Once the weather changes in the fall, I want to curl up and...
1. knit all the things and
2. read all the books
I thought I'd share some of my favorite fall-ish books with you - books that either partly take place during that time of year, or include characters going back to school, or just have a mysterious feel to the writing that seems to make the story fit with crisp air, hot coffee, and falling leaves.

1. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
2. The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud
3. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
4. Wildwood by Colin Meloy
5. The Cater Street Hangman by Anne Perry
6. Who Could That Be at This Hour? by Lemony Snicket
