break out the Christmas music!

It's finally Christmas music season again!  I just can't make myself listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but starting the next day it's time to break it all out!  I like an eclectic mix of classic & newer folk & singer-songwriter holiday music - here's a few albums I've been loving this season:

1. Snow Globe / Matt Wertz // lots of fun with several original songs (including one about living in, yes, a snow globe!)
2. Snow Angels / Over the Rhine // pure folk & vocal goodness
3. Nat King Cole // duh! plus some Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald...
4. A Charlie Brown Christmas / Vince Guaraldi Trio // it wouldn't be Christmas without it - I must have a thing for jazz...
5. A December to Remember / Dave Barnes // lots of warm fuzzies listening to this - I love his first Christmas album and this one is just as good!
6. A Neighborly Christmas / Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors // more folk & just a little country fun - their version of Baby It's Cold Outside may be my all time favorite...
7. Christmas Is Here / Brandon Heath // lots of Christmas fun from someone who feels just as strongly about not listening to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving...
8. Comfort & Joy / Folk Angel // beautiful folk & acoustic renditions of favorite songs...
9. PTXmas / Pentatonix // their acapella rendition of Little Drummer Boy has gone viral, but the rest of their Christmas record is definitely worth a listen!

I also really love the She & Him Christmas record and a little Dean Martin and Bing Crosby never hurts, either!  What are your favorite go-to Christmas albums?
